Mission
Providence Media International exists to share the love of God for his people, and to teach biblical truth through education & multimedia entertainment—to equip the next generation to fully live out their God-given identities and callings in Christ to further God’s kingdom.
Foundation
Providence Media International sits first on the foundation of God and secondly on spiritual mentorship through Providence Leadership. We value hearing the voice of God. We operate yielded to His leading and counsel. Our directions and steps are from God. Through Providence Leadership, we ar raising up the next generation of leaders and creatives.
Our Story
In March of 2023, God gave Ashley Ronning the vision of Providence Media International (PMI): an initial threefold media ministry that included the pillars of Providence Women (Peace Runs Deep), Providence Records, and Providence Films, with the desire to expand in the future. God then began to show Ashley that Providence Media’s impact would be far-reaching and change the course of many people’s destinies. Through much prayer and seeking God’s heart over this nonprofit, the inner workings of the organization began to become more clear to Ashley. It was during a global experience through her church, River Valley, in the Spring of 2023, God connected Ashley to her Board of Directors, Advisors, and Prayer Intercessors who would help lead the start-up of Providence Media International.
Meet Our Founder
Ashley Ronning
Ashley’s primary role is being “mom” to her four children: Parker, Cruze, Breck and Carli. She values her family and faith and is an elementary school teacher turned writer, speaker, and songwriter. A Minnesota native raised in a Christian home, Ashley grew up learning the foundations of faith in Jesus at an early age. Yet it wasn’t until her 30s that the Lord truly transformed Ashley from the inside out.
After walking through a divorce, God walked Ashley through a journey of healing her identity and heart and transformed the way she lived. Through this development, Ashley wrote her first book, Not Another Fairy Tale: Finding Freedom Outside the Script which highlights her healing journey, identity in Christ, and hearing the voice of God.
Alongside writing, Ashley created Peace Runs Deep, a space for herself and others to be encouraged in faith and identity. She felt called to create a place to bring authenticity and truth to the reality of our lives and to focus on ‘being’ and less on doing. Peace Runs Deep includes social media content, a blog, and a podcast.
Ashley is an educator by trade, and after completing her Masters in Literacy Education, Ashley felt called to expand Peace Runs Deep and founded Providence Media International, a media production nonprofit that aims at developing young creatives and infiltrating media with positivity and truth.
Ashley enjoys being active and when she’s not writing, she can be found on the lake, at the gym, sipping coffee, or watching her kids play soccer, tennis, and basketball. Ashley enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and all things family. Most of her weekends are spent with her children & running around with her new pup, River.
